Help & support for mums from mums in the Erewash area.
We are a voluntary group set up by Sure Start Erewash and the local Primary Health Care Trust (PCT) in 2005 to offer support and help to anyone in the Erewash area who plans to or is breastfeeding regardless of stage in pregnancy or age of child. Since March 2008 the group has been independant working closely with the Health visitors and Health workers based in Ilkeston.
The Peer Support Counsellors are volunteers who have done extensive trained using various well known training programmes compiled by the leading support networks for breastfeeding and are also mothers who have breastfed their children. As we are a voluntary group and due to insurance we are unable to do home visits unless we accompany a health professional, however we can and do the following;
A weekly drop in offering breastfeeding mums the opportunity to meet other breastfeeding mums to share support and experiences. *Help and support via our dedicated phone line.A freely available website for posting questions.Parent craft sessions at Ilkeston hospital.Attending other local groups who request the benefit of our support.* For more information please visit the Calender page.
For more information please ring ourselves on 07900682980 or use the form on the contact us page to send us an email.
You cradle your baby and we cradle you.
